A trailer is a short representation of the film, they take the best bits and the most interesting bits and put it into a short film that will attract the attention of the audience to make them want to see the film. These trailers are shown on the internet, in the Cinema and on Television. Film trailers are veiwed by nearly 10 billion veiwers a year so it is an effective way of marketing a film.
The purpose of a film magazine is to market films, big films get the front cover which may attract readers. They read about the film and this creates interest to make them want to go and see it.
Posters are put up in as many places as possible so you cannot avoid the film, wherever you go it is always in you eye. This creates curiosity and attraction the the film.
